"This was a story that needed to be told. I have been suffering for 17 years with, unknown to me, surgical clips in my body..unknown that is, until I saw your short on Facebook about a very common surgery that leaves metal clips behind. I was only 18 years old, and I don't even know how I really am supposed to feel as an adult. I have lived my whole adult life in pain, never being validated. My body has rejected 3 piercings, and I have always been sensitive to nickel jewelry. I have told every Dr. that I have ever seen that I have a nickel allergy and they never even write it down... "Oh. That doesn't matter."

I got braces put on a few years back and the "surgical grade stainless steel" just about took me out! They were so shocked, I couldn't be allergic and so on. They put in a titanium wire for me and I suffered for two years…never realizing that the stainless steel that was on the brackets was still causing me issues. I have never fully recovered. It wasn't until I found your page, that I was able to put all of this together. I ordered my MELISA test, but since I was on a prescription immunosuppressive medication to stop a current contact flare up, I have to wait. I am so anxious to get this metal out of me, I just want it over with. I am sharing your page and resources with everyone. I wish I could help more, but I don't know what else to do.
